The event featured 16 spectacular designers, 45 fabulous models, and a professional creative team rivaling that of NY Fashion Week.

Attendees included media, retailers, and business owners as well as prosperous consumers from many miles away.

!For 2008, VA Fashion Week will be bigger and better with events in both Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads: a major force for Virginia businesses and giving back to the community as well! With a platform of supporting the arts in Virginia, we will establish a scholarship fund for talented area students.

The event producers as well as a selective group of models and designers will be available for TV appearances and press interviews. A fashion show can be staged for a local or regional television station.

. Thursday Evening November 13, 2008 7-9pm:

Invitation only party for designers, store owners, buyers, and press to be held at a Norfolk area museum. May include informal modeling or brief runway presentation.

. Friday Evening November 14, 2008 6-9pm:
Hampton Roads opening night fashion shows and cocktail party. New York style fashion show will be presented showcasing regional urban and casual lines. The evening will open with a cocktail party at 6pm with runway shows commencing at 7.

. Saturday November 15 2008 3-8 pm:
Designer Showcase will feature a mixture of couture and ready-to-wear in a series of fashion shows. Each participating designer will have their own 15-30 minute show. There will be breaks between several shows where guests can browse vendor exhibits.

. Sunday November 16, 2008 3-8pm: Designer Showcase continues spotlighting couture designers from VA, the US and abroad.
